Student Finance Advisor

Location: Tower Hill, London / Hybrid
LCCA are looking for a student-focused Student Finance Advisor to provide expert guidance and support to students on all aspects of Student Finance England (SFE). This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys helping others, solving problems, and delivering an exceptional student experience.
Working as part of the Student Services team, you'll provide accurate advice, support students with funding applications, and ensure finance processes are delivered efficiently and compliantly.
Key Responsibilities
Provide advice and guidance on Student Finance England funding, eligibility, and financial policies.
Support students with SFE applications and finance-related queries.
Respond to enquiries via email, telephone, and face-to-face meetings.
Handle sensitive financial discussions with empathy, professionalism, and discretion.
Manage communications with UCA regarding registration, attendance confirmations, and student funding requirements.
Maintain accurate student finance records and ensure compliance with GDPR and institutional policies.
Complete termly attendance confirmations and administer weekly reporting requirements.
Work closely with the Student Hub, academic teams, and external funding bodies to resolve student finance issues.
Contribute to service improvements and initiatives that enhance the student experience.
About You
You will be an organised and approachable professional with strong communication skills and a genuine commitment to supporting students.
Essential
Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
Experience in finance, compliance, administration, or student support within an education or public sector environment.
Understanding of UK regulatory requirements, including GDPR, Safeguarding, and Prevent.
Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively.
Strong IT skills, including experience with student management systems and Microsoft Office.
Desirable
Experience within higher education
Knowledge of Student Finance England processes.
Familiarity with financial systems and reporting tools.
Understanding of Office for Students (OfS) requirements.
