About the Role
London College of Contemporary Arts (LCCA) is seeking a detail‑focused and proactive Assessments Officer to join our Registry (Assessments) team.
The Assessment Team is responsible for managing assessment and student progression processes across the College, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and regulatory compliance. In this role, you will deliver high‑quality and complex assessment administration, support internal assessment boards, and provide expert advice to colleagues and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver high‑quality administration of assessments and progression, ensuring processes are accurate, efficient and timely
Record and manage mitigating circumstances in line with College and Partner regulations
Provide secretarial support to Internal Boards, including:
Scheduling meetings
Preparing and distributing papers
Recording minutes and monitoring actions
Support assessment boards by preparing documentation, liaising with board members and ensuring accurate processing of student outcomes
Contribute to Internal Board meetings and provide expert operational advice where required
Identify and resolve complex issues arising from assessment and curriculum operations, acting as a decision‑maker when appropriate
Interpret, apply and provide guidance on academic regulations, policies and procedures
Support the implementation of regulatory and policy changes to enhance operational efficiency and the student experience
Ensure assessment activities comply with College regulations, Validating Partner requirements and external compliance frameworks
Provide specialist advice and guidance to academic and professional services colleagues
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance service quality and efficiency
Work collaboratively with colleagues across departments and at varying levels of seniority
Self‑manage a complex and changing workload, prioritising tasks based on institutional risk and student impact
Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within the Assessment team
Undertake other reasonable duties appropriate to the role
About You
You will be a highly organised professional with strong attention to detail and experience working within a higher education environment.
Essential requirements:
Relevant qualifications or equivalent professional experience appropriate to higher education
Recent experience in a higher education professional services role
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organisational and time‑management skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
Confident use of IT systems, including Microsoft Office and student records systems
Strong numeracy and data‑handling skills
Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to interpret and apply regulations and policies accurately
Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Strong problem‑solving skills and use of initiative
Flexibility and adaptability in a changing environment
Commitment to delivering a high‑quality service to students and staff
